Voter FAQ

+What ID do I need to bring to the polls?

Texas accepts seven forms of photo ID: a Texas driver license, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas personal ID card, Texas handgun license, U.S. military ID card with photo, U.S. citizenship certificate with photo, or U.S. passport. If you do not have one and cannot reasonably get one, you can still vote by signing a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and showing a supporting document such as a voter registration certificate, utility bill, bank statement, or paycheck. Details: VoteTexas.gov.

+Can I vote at any polling location in my county?

During early voting, yes: you can vote at any early voting site in the county where you are registered. On Election Day, counties that use Vote Centers let you vote at any Vote Center in the county. Check your county elections page for Election Day locations.
